Fastest way to import #s from FB groups/events to your phone.

FAQ / About

What is

It is the easiest way to transfer contacts your friends gave on Facebook (remember those Got A New Phone, Need Numbers groups/events?) to your phone.

Who made this?

My name is Stephen Ou, currently a high school Junior living in the sunny Bay Area. You might heard of my name before, many of my work were featured on TechCrunch, Mashable, The Next Web, Forbes, and more.

My personal website: This is where I document all my products, client work, interviews, and more. I am @stephenou on Twitter.

FYI, I'm starting an initiative to teach young people programming: Next Programming Star.

What's the story?

My friend lost his phone and all his contacts. So he asked all his friends for their numbers in a Facebook group. But a big problem arose when he had to manually enter all the numbers.

That frustrated him, especially when he was still pissed about his stolen phone. There should be a better way, right?

That's exactly what I thought. I'm starting my Junior year of high school next week, so I thought it would be nice to spend a Saturday hacking something together that will potentially save millions of people time and money.

After 300 minutes of hard work, I shortened a process that used to take 30 minutes to 30 seconds. Here's how it unfolded:

13-13:30 Outline every page on my whiteboard; 13:30-14 Work on Facebook authentication; 14-15 Parse phone numbers; 15-16 Build vCard from contacts; 16-17 Design the interface; 17 Off for a party; 21-21:30 Write this page and other text; 21:30-22 Test and release!

Do you make money from this?

Not now. But it'll be amazing to get some revenue. If you have a product (especially related to contact management) and want to advertise in front of our brilliant audience, get in touch.

I want to write about the app/interview you, how do I get more info?

Just shoot me an email and I'm looking forward to talk with you!
